How long have you been on DFS?/When have you started playing on DFS?

I, according to the DFS website, have a total of 509 hours of playtime on DFS, most if not all of that on the EU server.

Which region are you from?

United Kingdom

Which position are you applying for? (Server Moderator, Developer, Discord Moderator)

Server Moderator

What level are you in the DFS servers?

Level 152, as of writing this.

Why do you want to become a staff member?

I wish to become a staff member here to help keep things in check and have the server be an enjoyable experience for everyone. With Covid-19 taking a huge part in peoples lives, it's expected that a rush-in of new members are to arise in the future, and I would want to be there for them with the power to help support them and make their time here memorable. This is a FUN server and I would like to be able to help keep it that way for everybody.

Are you currently a staff member elsewhere?

Currently, no. In the near future excluding here, possibly. I can update people on that if things change.

Do you have previous experience as a staff member? If so, what is it, and how would it help you on DFS?

I was a moderator for a good year and a half on a Gmod sandbox server before it shut down from the server hosts lack of interest in hosting anymore in 2016.

How active are you on DFS? If you're accepted, how active can you be on DFS?

Pretty active, with how unpredictable my education can be I might be on and off a lot, but during my spare time I will dedicate it to DFS if possible.

Have you ever been banned from DFS before? If so, why?

Yes, two years ago for user harrasment. I wont name who, but I have seeked and recieved medical and professional help for my obsessions and am near the end of the road of my recovery.

I patience can be a little thin. Most of the time it's perfectly normal and I can allow the person to explain whats going on without getting annoyed by it. But on some days, I can lose patience pretty quickly if I feel like a situation isn't going anywhere.

First off, as a moderator. This application isn't very well made. There are spelling errors all over the place, as if this were rushed. People are usually permanently banned for a reason. Given your behavior on the server, from what I have heard from the other moderators your prior behavior has continued giving me no reason to believe you have changed since you were initially banned. You say you received help for your conditions, however, I have seen the server logs in which you complain about me blocking communications with you. I have also been messaged by another user telling me that you asked them to get me to unblock you. This is precisely the behavior that got you banned 2 years ago. I think from a professional stand point, that having you on the moderator team would be a horrible idea and completely ruin the image of DFS.

Now, not as a moderator. I think having you on the team would make my life a living hell. I did not want to talk with you then and I still don't want to talk with you now. Having you as a moderator would complicate things to a point where I would no longer be able to perform my job effectively. I find your constant going after me completely and utterly annoying. I have to go out of my way to avoid you so that you don't bring me up and make others uncomfortable. I still have no interest in ever talking to you again and that will never change.

In conclusion, Absolutely Not.

Understandable yet questionable response. I have tried to right myself and have been told by a few people I have seemed to improve. Now I understand that, maybe being on the same staff team as you would make it difficult for you, but I can assure that's not an issue anymore. You dont have to restrict yourself coming onto the server just because I'm there. What you do is your choice, Leaf, however thank you non the less for the response.

Your recent behavior has given me a clear impression that you wouldn't be fit for any kind of staff role, saying you have improved while giving no indication of such.

I'm in full agreement with Leafpad's arguments, so my opinion is; No.

As a moderator, all previous personal experience aside, your application leaves an awful lot to be desired. Being back for only about a month or two isn't anywhere near long enough on the servers reliably to have a staff position, your reason for wanting to join the team is extremely generic and weak without much consideration for the actual responsibilities of the role and your comments about your patience do not fill me with confidence.

In addition, as has been mentioned already, your behaviour in this short time has, without involving prior personal experience, not been exemplary.

Accounting for all prior experience, however, you've so far shown little, if any, improvement since you took to harassing Leafpad 2 years ago, publicly voicing your decision to let her approach you if she wanted to talk, only to quickly go back on that and have someone ask her to unblock you. Beyond all the bad impressions this makes, using other people to attempt to get to her is exactly the same tactic you used 2 years ago, which I personally had the displeasure of experiencing, no matter how many times I had to tell you that it was "none of my business".

I might understand the desire to apologise and make amends but the message of when someone absolutely does not want to talk to you should have landed by now.

Take the hint and move on, because as long as you keep exhibiting behaviour like this, you make yourself a poor potential staff member not only through your actions but through how uncomfortable it would be to have you on the team for both Leafpad and myself, as it has since very much become "my business".

The staff have voted to deny this application.
