Okay first off, I am sorry for my rudeness towards you.
Second, Admins, please don't just post forums weapons in here. We want to encourage people that they "can" have a second run as long as everyone is agreeing on that. Since I have more to say a bit. Moe, again, I will not be in your way.
Shoot a message and an add to the profile you see in the signature and I am willing to talk to you. I won't run after yours, however, it's not my top thing in the world to do to solve this matter. I leave this up to you, and if it's never.
Alright, this is getting worse from day to day. I think it's actually time to step in and clean this mess all of you made here before it ends in a disaster, even tho I wanted to stay out of here since it could turn a little bit harsh (and long...... apologize for the wall of text, but this has to be said after all the time).
I've been watching this whole conflict for almost since it started, hearing the stories of both sides. Even tho I'm usually present at events to moderate them and avoid situations like this, I wasn't able to participate at the event at that time. "No worries" I said, since all the events before went all right, thinking it would turn all right this time too. A shame, because this whole situation is retardedly unnecessary and could have been avoided easily, which is also one reason I was staying away from all this. So that being said, I don't know for myself what happened on that day on the server, but I've heard enough over time to figure it out. So let's start...
This situation can be split into three groups: The staff who were on the server at that time, especially Pika; the person who "caused this conflict and in the end got banned"; and the unrelated (staff) ones, aka these who just "heard the stories" but never experienced them theirself.
First of all to all the staff: Stop acting fucking retarded. You're part of the staff, whose job is to take care of the server and avoid conflicts like this. That means you have responsibilities, you're supposed to be the people the community is looking up. DFS isn't your average server with shitty admins. And this isn't your underground's reaction forum either. This forum is for people who want to appeal and not get shitbashed by everyone, it's insulting and disrespectful towards them. And don't even come to me with "but he's the one who's disrespecting us!". You're just proofing that you're not a bit better than them by doing exactly the same. Have a grip, because this is just unprofessional. "I'll only be respectful when he is!", while not understanding this is just a vicious circle that is never going to end, it's sad. This is ruining our reputation if it keeps going on. Ever thought about it?
To the staff that is unrelated to the day when it happened:
of course we'll think about backing each other up: because we're a Staff Team. Besides everything else, it's our job to work together.
This quote pretty much sums it up, and you guys are even confirming it. Bandwagon much huh? Yes, we're a team. Yes, it's our job to work together. But you guys don't seem to realize that jumping a bandwagon isn't exactly what it means to "work together". "Hey that guy dislikes that person. Since we're a team we'll do the exact same thing. Therefore we'll ban him since all the staff is against him." Isn't peer pressure a nice thing? You have no rights to act like you knew what was going on just because "your friends told you what happened and therefore it's all true." Do you really need to defend your "friend, who was right" instead of letting them fix the conflict themself with the other party, since... you know... they're the ones who are supposed to talk with the other party and find a solution for it? We're a community who is hosting servers with thousand of users (in total. You know what I mean), and not just a group of people who decide who can be part of the cool club. You guys don't even realize you're hurting the very person you're trying to defend.
To the staff that were present at the time: We all should know that moderating an event can be a little tough, which is also why we usually gather a few of the staff to look over it. I have no bloody clue what you guys did there, but if there's someone who acts toxic or simply doesn't follow the rules, then just warn / kick / temporarily ban them? You could have prevented it from derailing into a drama / conflict, yet it happened. If we would end up with situations like this with every toxic player on DFS, then there would be no end to dramas. Besides, from the other side of the party you guys seem to have ignored his questions alltogether the whole time, and if this is true then he's not the only one to blame for this to have happened. I'm not gonna say that its all your fault for it, I know that moderating an event is hard. The hosts already have enough work on their hands with maintaining the event and checking that everything works, but that's why we have helping hands who help out with the other stuff, and it seems like these people didn't took enough care about the participants and helping them out during the event (by like answering their questions). It's either that some staff didn't do their job right, or we simply didn't have enough moderators on at that time, if this all is true. You could say that this wasn't really perfectly fine organized if that's the case. Especially, since it's an event that held a (high) prizepool, which is gonna become more of a competition than fun event since everyone wants to win the grand prize & in which people who are treated unfair are going to complain.
To moe: A rather misfortune situation eh? Now while I usually would say that leaving feedback / complaining (on a structure level) on certain aspects is an okay thing, we're just humans, we're not perfect and we learn from our mistakes, which experience we use to make it next time better. But. It seems like this time the whole complaining stuff has escilated a bit to the point where it actually hurt people. And at this point you should consider whose fault it possibly could have been. It's most likely you who has gone too far. I don't know the choice of words or how this whole situation developed, but the results speak for themself. While you might have been treated unfair, I'll just say the same thing as above, there's no need to do the exact same thing to others. Again, a vicious cycle, which never turns out good. You might have not intended to hurt other people, but it certainly did happen. And if you realize that this happened, it's a good time to actually apologize to the other person. You should have talked to him beforehand and apologized, and none of this conflict would have ended up this badly, but might have ended rather peacefully, which is in your own interest as well, right? Even if the other person did something wrong, you didn't do any better, yet you might think he should be the one to apologize? That's not how it works, but rather makes you look like you're too proud of yourself, which can at times be a dangerous characteristic and most of times won't solve a solution. You want to get unbanned? Apologize to the people that affected your ban. Simple as that. Acting all highly and with pride will cause the exact opposite. Don't overestimate yourself. Pride is the number 1 deathsin, from which every other sin is being said to have developed. That's a warning.
That being said, another factor has influenced this situation, and which is also the reason why things turned out rather misfortune especially for him. The whole Dodgeball disaster. Moe himself is just-- or was a member of our community. Just a normal player, not a staff or anything. Yet from all the users we have in the community, he actually voluntered to help out with the server and worked on trying to improve it, unlike 99% of the community. Even back when I asked if he'd help me out with working on the warp config, he didn't hestiate to answer. It took a long time working it out but he never complained or considered stopping to help me out. Yet everyone of you acts disrespectful and insulting towards it, because apparently "it didn't work out so well!". Well, emphasis on "tried". Sure, the whole dodgeball thing didn't turn out so well, yet everyone shits on him while most haven't even done anything contributive to the server beside moderating it. The other stuff he did like custom weapons & warp configs? Not a single mention or gratitude.
Another factor that nobody seems to have ever noticed. How many people actually complained about him to get banned? Did you count them? Good. Now tell me, how many of these people were regular, non-staff, users?
Because the way I see it, it's about 0. That's right. 0. I can't remember a single user from our community have complained about moe and his behavior. Every hate, every argument, every ban has come from the staff member circle. Yes okay, moe might have gone a bit too far with his argumentation and maybe should have stopped, but at the same time it could have been said you guys could have just stopped argumenting with him and move on? But no, let's all blame him.
The way you guys act is like you want him to be respectful towards you, yet nobody of you ever showed a little bit of respect towards him and the work he put for the community. Instead, he gets thrown with insults and the biggest disrespect I've seen in a long while. He wanted to appeal, even apologized to Pika and sorted it out with him, yet none of you gives him a chance. Why do we have a appeal forum then? How comes we had so much worse people who got permabanned and unbanned multiple times, yet he, who hasn't harmed our community even once, but only the staff apparently, gets to stay permabanned? "He's egoistic" huh? The way I see it, it's the opposite case. People apparently forgot that the community doesn't only exist out of the staff members, but the reason we exist is because of our community.
I talked & listened to both participants from whose this situation came up in the first place. And let me tell you something, the way this turned, none of both is satisfied with how this situation has turned out, even after solving it. In fact, it makes it even worse. This is handled on an unprofessional way and it might end up to not just one user from considering of retiring from his position.
If this wall of text doesn't put even a little sense to all of you, then I'm afraid there's not much I can do anymore. Stop acting selfish.

I think it's actually time to step in and clean this mess all of you made here before it ends in a disaster
Giving our opinions on the topic while responding to his comments is a mess huh? How very typical of you light.
While some of the users after the critical posts did go far with their "forum weapons", I don't think you have any room to come here and clean up a mess "all of you made".
This whole thread is stupid, all we asked was an apology and look what happened.
And Mr.Light08, don't come and put the blame on all of us, all we did was stating our opinions, plus everything was sorted on discord and you just made it even worse.
So, congrats.
Should've kept your mouth shut instead of adding more fuel to the fire.
I do not wish to waste my time with this whole bullshit, you getting unbanned or not is not my business anymore, I'm just going to say that if you do ending up getting yourself unbanned, I really hope you don't fuck up again, because if you do, i will personally re-permaban you and never forgive those who voted to unban you.
after all that commotion during the event and "dodgeball plugins" i'll be willing to put those aside and at least give you another chance. I don't necessarily see you as a nice guy and dare i even speak of walls of text. but to keep in short and not draw out anymore discussions then we need i suppose i'll vote yes for an unban.
just don't make anymore mistakes like that again.
Alright, this is getting worse from day to day. I think it's actually time to step in and clean this mess all of you made here before it ends in a disaster,
egotistical as always
