Greetings, comrades. My apologies for making this thread so late at night GMT time. I can't sleep and I've had an idea. During a TFDB map, I was discussing with Light08 on how there could be a possibility of him creating a practise area based around TFDB's settings. He mentioned that it would be impossible due to the fact that adding a dodgeball bot would take up a player slot and remove the anti-cheat system due to it needing sv_cheats set to 1.
Now, has anyone here heard of don't advertise stupid shit? I used to go on their achievement servers all the time during early years of my community experiences and every one of those maps had a Pyro air blast tennis area on the outskirts of the maps. A player would have to press a button to spawn a rocket projectile from the other side and air blast it towards the opposing player.
I was thinking that tm_stadium_b3 could have something like this. Try and put this in your heads. Players go into a hallway with multiple rooms with the same layout. A big enough space to walk around in, a projectile rocket entity spawner high on a wall, and a few buttons that the player has to use to set the rockets settings like speed, damage, and (possible) target designation (E.G. Making the rocket turn around and return to the player once going further then a set designated frames in length).
whether this is possible on Light08's part is all his decision. This is just simply an idea for people (Mostly me) who would like to improve on TFDB and not die within the first 10 seconds.
Thanks for reading.
